On June 30th, our dear friend Matt Lagacé passed away after a short, but fierce fight with cancer.  Before he got sick, our friend planned to join our crazy crew as our SM/tech.  We will miss how his smile could light up the room. Thanks Matt for your love and friendship.

A Message from the Strokes of Genius

Thank you for your support! We recognize that Strokes and brain injuries are serious.  We aren’t making light of that fact.  However, in the midst of all our tears, we recognized, that in order to survive our ordeal we needed to laugh at the sometimes absurd world of Stroke recovery.  

 

When it comes to stroke symptoms, we ran the gamut:
- Hemi-Paresis (paralyzed on one side)          
- Memory Loss - Aphasia (difficulty with words, or even loss of speech entirely)
- Fatigue                                                          
- Narcolepsy - Mood Swings                                                
- Emotional Outbursts  
- Lacking Any Verbal Filter                              
- Slowed Processing                          
And the list goes on and on!

 

All our sketches are based on true life experiences (some truer than others - unfortunately).   Thanks to our friends on stage with us, Rob for your direction, and Travis for teaching.
